Mortgage & Home
A mortgage is the largest amortised loan most people ever sign. These tools show the full payment (principal, interest, tax, insurance and PMI) and the schedule underneath it, so you can see exactly how much of each payment is buying the house and how much is renting the money.

Mortgage Calculator
Work out the monthly payment on a home loan, see how much of it is interest, and read the full amortisation schedule underneath.
This calculator splits a mortgage into the four or five things you actually pay each month, then shows what the loan costs over its whole life. Principal and interest come from the standard amortisation formula. Property tax, insurance, HOA fees and PMI are added on top, because those are the reason a quoted "payment" and the amount that leaves your account rarely match.
